Post by Mark N.Any word on Microsoft releasing a version of Outlook that's native to OSX?
We're running our Macs with classic mode for and want to get rid of that,
but can't yet - not until everybody (Microsoft's not the only one lagging)
comes out with native apps.
Hi Mark!
Outlook is not being developed for Mac OS X. Microsoft's Exchange client for
Mac OS X is now Entourage 10.1.4 or higher and this requires an Exchange
2000 or higher server.
Check the microsoft.public.mac.office.entourage newsgroup for many
discussions about this. It may or may not be for you. Also, whereas the Mac
Outlook client was free, Entourage must be purchased either as part of
Office X or stand-alone. This is in keeping with the Windows Outlook
clients, which can only be acquired through an Office purchase.
Here's some information on the Exchange update

eupdate. Here's some information about whether or not it's right for you
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/support.aspx?pid=exchange. And here's setup
information for using Entourage with Exchange

ficex&article=/mac/officex/ork/Configure_Entourage.xml.
Hope this helps! bill
