I have a Mac OS 9.2 client attempting to access a FTP
site running WindowsNT 4.0. Regardless of the FTP client
software the Mac application will hang with it attemps to
list the contents of the remote folder. I have tried this
on multiple Mac clients with the same results. Windows
clients do not experience the same problem. Any ideas?

Hi Jon!

Try this.

Go to Apple menu --> Control Panels --> Internet --> Advanced tab.

Look for the "Use FTP Passive Mode (PASV)" checkbox. If it's checked,
uncheck it. If it's unchecked, check it.

PASV mode is typcially needed when connecting to a server from inside a
proxied network. Connecting to an FTP server from within the same network
shouldn't require it.

Hope this helps! bill
